The
Flow.
Oil on box. 82x172 cm. 2020-21.
Starting this piece initially from individual zoom life paintings, as an idea of staying connected while being so far apart, it grew gradually and unpredictably. Putting all those sketches together as one flow meant having and keeping that connection through distances during pandemic. Nothing has been planned, as well as me going to another country and taking that painting with me. Everything was a flow. Figures changed, colours changed, textures changed, ideas changed with time. The canvas turned out to be a box from a trash can as a symbol of transportation and mobility with all its being marks, manuals, stickers and damages included - it seemed like an imperfectly perfect material with its own history. I have decided not to cover them and incorporate what has been found.
